Waseela

The Means of Nearness to Allah ﷻ

Waseela is the blessed means by which a servant seeks nearness to Allah ﷻ. Allah Himself commands the believers, in the verse above, to seek a means of approach to Him — through righteous deeds, and through those whom He has honoured and brought near.

The Beloved ﷺ, the Greatest Means

The greatest of all means is the beloved Messenger of Allah ﷺ, whom Allah made a mercy to all the worlds. Throughout the generations, the believers have turned to Allah ﷻ, presenting the love and honour of His Prophet ﷺ as a means in their du’a — never worshipping other than Allah, but seeking His acceptance through the one most beloved to Him.

True tawassul is, at its heart, an expression of love for Allah ﷻ and His Messenger ﷺ, and of complete reliance upon Allah alone as the One who answers every call.

At Barkaat-ul-Quran Center, this love is woven through our gatherings of dhikr, durood and du’a — drawing hearts closer to Allah ﷻ by way of the Beloved ﷺ.
